Heaton Mersey v Timperley B

12-2

With the weeks monsoon not showing any signs of easing on Saturday, we were all surprised that the game went ahead against Timperley B.  Timperley B could only field 10 players which Mersey matched in the interests of the game.  Mersey easily led at half time 8-0, with three goals from Clive Black, whilst the defence maintained a solid platform through Jonny 5 goals and Benny Asbo. Jonny even managed to score a goal which stood!  In the second half Mersey put into place set plays from training and scored four more goals, however Merseys concentration lapsed and allowed Timperley B to score two goals.

The game ended 12-2. It wasn't pretty, it was VERY wet, and it was VERY muddy, but a win is a win.
